Street Cat HUB Wishlists
Street Cat HUB has provided spay/neuter to over 17,000 cats since 2020! Your gift today can provide these surgeries, food, litter, medicine, and other critical care to cats in need.
Join Our Story
As a nonprofit, we depend on our partners, donors and grants to provide these services free of charge to the community caregivers. Many of these caregivers give beyond their means to feed these cats and provide the most humane and compassionate care possible. Street Cat Hub supports the cats, their caregivers and communities by providing a resource for humane, effective population control through TNR. When a community cat is returned, they are given the chance to live out their natural life in the only home they have ever known. Due to environmental threats, they may not live as long as a socialized, domesticated, indoor cat, however, research has shown that community cats can live a reasonable life span after going through TNR and returned to an engaged caregiver or community of caregivers. A stabilized Community Cat Colony is the goal of TNR and positively impacts the community they live in, reduces intake at municipal and nonprofit shelters and rescues, and reduces suffering of cats left to reproduce year after year.
Our Mission
Street Cat HUB’s mission is to serve the city of Albuquerque and surrounding areas with the spay and neuter of free-roaming cats.
More About Us
The goal at Street Cat HUB is free-roaming, community cat population control using the ONLY method proven to be both humane and effective, Trap-Neuter-Return (aka Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return). Initially a trap loan program in 2009 , SCH expanded into a more robust TNR program in 2012. In the 10 years of inception of our nonprofit in 2014 through 2024, SCH has TNR’d over 45,000 cats! In 2020, Street Cat HUB opened their own facility and now delivers spay/neuter surgeries in their own clinic bringing expanded access to more cats than ever before. Street Cat HUB is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, EIN # 47-1258466.
